Move-Along Little Doggie

In July of 2008 I was fortunate enough to be hired as a Professional Pet Sitter. I worked with a wonderful company, Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting that is based out of Yorkville, Illinois. I loved this job more than I could have ever dreamed! A few weeks into pet sitting I vowed I would never go back to an office, a bank or any place where I couldn't work with animals! And...I haven't!

During my time with Home Sweet Home I made friends with lots of pets and their owners! I walked daily, rain or shine. Whatever the owner requested! It was common that the Pet-Parents would vacation and need me to look after the house and pets while they were away. Sadly, my husband and I had to move from Oswego to Dekalb and I had to leave my perfect job. Things got better though...

I now work as an Animal Caretaker at the Bethany Animal Hospital. I care for the pets that stay with us while their owner's are away on vacation. My duties include feeding, watering, making their living space clean and comfortable, walking them and playing with them. I also administer medications, and most importantly make them feel loved and relaxed until their parents come home. Many of the pets that visit us know us well and have great fun when they stay with us. It is great to make friends with them!


I work minimal hours at Bethany Animal Hospital which allows me to run my own Pet Sitting business. I couldn't ask for more!
